Newt Gingrich’s Archie Bunker Moment

Newt Gingrich went and done it. He praised the patron saint of the left, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

When the country is heading into a depression, perhaps it’s not wise to laud a man whose policies were described by his Treasury Secretary Henry Morgenthau to have been a complete failure.

This isn’t the end of the road, necessarily, for Newt. Even Ronaldus Magnus had many positive things to say about FDR.

But I’m going to have to side with Archie Bunker on this one.
